Girls Branch Sports

After the victory in PCB National Cricket championship in 2006, Headstart Girls Branch has once again made us proud by gaining two successive victories in the following events, organized by Capital Development Authority, City Olympics 2009 and Youth sports festival 2008; held at Jinnah Stadium.

Our girls participated enthusiastically in the following categories: 100, 200, 400 meters races, Relay race, Shout-put, Discuss and Javelin throw and amazingly won in most of them. Thus Headstart was runners-up in the Youth Sports Festival and winners in City Olympics.

Fizza Abid (O-Level) and Humaira Gul (Grade 8) won the “Best Athlete” award at each event respectively. Other winners and participants included Areeba Khan, Yasna Najmi, Asra Raza Jan, Navisa Najmi, Raeesa Jahangir, Shailla Jan Shafiq, Rimsha Zulfiqar, Asna Raza Jan, Mah Batool, Kushbakht Tariq and Ayesha Mir.

We thank our sport teacher, Ms. Saboohi Pervez for always being very supportive and cooperative. No doubt Headstart Girls Branch has shown true sports spirt, for the past three years in the field of Sports. Surely, Headstart will progress in Sports in the Future as well, Inshallah.
