Headstart School – Elementary Branch
Headstart School – Elementary Branch Elections 2008 – 09
Sportsmanship is a value we, at Headstart, strive to inculcate in our students from a very early level of their academic career. In lieu of this commitment the School elections are held every year with full enthusiasm and the spirit of diplomacy and competition.

This year the House Elections were held in the 2nd week of September with rigorous campaigning on part of the nominees marking the start of the election fever. The candidates were given ample time to present their points of view and convince their peers of their worthiness as the respective office holders.
The students of Grades 2 - 5 vied for the office of House Captain and Vice House Captain whereas Grades 6 - 7 were contending for the position of Class Representative for their respective classes, Sports Representative and the School Prefect.
On September 16, the students garbed in their house colours came forward to cast their votes amidst cheers of support and encouragement for their favourite aspirants, much in keeping with the true spirit of the event.
The Oath Taking Ceremony was held on 18th September whereby the winners took an oath in front of the whole school standing witness to their solemn undertaking for doing justice to their elected position in the student council.
